A Note from Eric Fleshood

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Thank you so much for your commitment to give to RADIATE His Life. The total in gifts and faith promise commitments stands at $105,000 so far. Your gifts are an aroma to the Lord and a balm to the orphans and students who will be reached as a result.

Many of you wanted to give at the conference but were unable to do so because you did not have your checkbook. Others of you have made a faith promise commitment and want to know how you go about fulfilling your commitment. This e-mail will explain the ways you can give in the future.

There are three ways to give:

Mail in Your Gift
Send your check payable to “Campus Crusade for Christ”

Sincerely,
Eric Fleshood

[Seminar] Theological Women: Not an Oxymoron – Jennifer Hu

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

We are called to love God with our heart, soul, and mind. Often times as women, the mind is a hard one for us to put into practice. Although we may be tempted to think theology is just for men, we all need to know God and who He is. When the hard times come, what we believe about God will make all the difference in how we handle the situation. The women are invited to come and hear how a deeper understanding of theology will enhance their intimacy with Jesus.

[Seminar] The Art of Discerning God’s Will – Rick James

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

I think we all wish that God would simply write out His will for our lives in the same way that we would rather get a prescription from a doctor rather than having to change our lifestyle or undergo invasive surgery. Sadly, God has other priorities for our growth and relationship with him than simply giving us an immediate answer. Hear Rick talk from his experience and knowledge of the Word about how God reveals His will for peoples’ lives.

[Seminar] Contours of Transience: Ministering on the Community College – Tommy Forester

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Whether you are currently attending a community college, seeking to help minister at a community college, know someone who will attend a community college, or hope to minister at one in the future, this seminar is for you. The community college is one of the most unreached, unsustainable places to minister with such great transience. Yet, it stands as a very strategic place to reach students from the community and around the world. How will God use the community college where you are for His great mission of redemption? Hear about some missional misses, successes, and helpful strategies for you to take back to your campus as you trust God for a sustainable impact.

[Seminar] Good News About Injustice – Christa Hayden

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Injustice is the abuse of power to take from others their life, liberty, dignity, the fruits of their love and their labor. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 1:17 that we should “learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.” In this seminar, we consider the Biblical mandate for justice, explore the reality of injustice in our world, and learn how we can show up on behalf of the poor and those who in oppression.

Christa works with International Justice Mission, a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery,  sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. Prior to working at their headquarters in Washington, DC, she worked in Cambodia providing crisis care and job placement coordination for trafficking survivors.

[Seminar] The Holy Spirit: The Source of What’s Missing – Rick James

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Have you ever felt that this can’t be all there is, that somehow there must be something deeper, something more to the Christian life? Something you don’t need to act out but a palpable source of energy and life flowing from the heart? Jesus clearly taught that there was when he said, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” John goes on to tell us, “By this he meant the Spirit” (John 7:37-39). According to Jesus, the Holy Spirit is the source of that “something more,” the source of what’s missing.
